(Copolymer Line - Bulk Spool)

I recently purchased Bulk (3000 yard) spools of Gamma Co-polymer line in 8 thru 17 lb test, on the internet from AllWatersFishing.com to test the strength and abrasion resistance, for myself. As a bass fisherman, I need to get my presentations into a lot of nasty stuff, like wood, rocks, docks etc. What I found with the Gamma Co-polymer line amazed me. It is just as strong and supple as it is advertised. I can skip a fluke or tube into a treetop or under a dock with the 8 lb test on a spinning rod or baitcaster and not have to worry about break-offs anymore. Even though the heavier Gamma lines will come off of a small spinning real more smoothly and with greater distance than any other line that I have ever used, there is really no need to go beyond 8 or 10 lb test anymore. I am also finding that due to its superior abrasion resistance, I don't have to re-tie as often and my knots last twice as long. With Gamma's Co-polymer lines my only fear now, is straightening out hooks when the inevitable snag occurs. On one occasion, I was flipping a stump field with a jig on 17 lb test and stuck it in a stump on a hook-set. I had to wrap the line around one of the cleats on my boat and use the trolling motor to break it off. Instead of the line breaking, it straightened the hook out on a 7/16 oz. Stanley jig; something I have not seen in 20 years of bass fishing!
