I caught and safely released this 41" - 25 lb snook while prefishing the CCA Inter-Chapter Challenge fishing tournament this past Thursday (7/27) in Jensen Beach, Florida.
The fish hit a DOA Terroreyz #369 (Pearl/Greenback) lure with 3/8 oz head under the Jensen Beach Causeway Bridge (aka. The Mosquito Bridge) around 10:30 pm on an incoming tide. I used a Crowder 7' E-Series ESS712 12-20 lb rated graphite spinning rod with a Penn 360 Slammer spinning reel spooled with 15lb Power Pro and 30 lb Gamma Flurocarbon Leader.
I was fishing with my fellow chapter team members, Kevin Cooke and Randy Glaese. They helped with the landing, photographing and release of this really nice fish!
Gamma Flurocarbon leader is durable and tough and made for big fish!
